Accepted Payment Methods

7 min read

Data Mammoth accepts a wide range of payment methods so you can choose the option that is most convenient for you. Whether you prefer traditional credit card payments, digital wallets, or cryptocurrency, we have you covered.

This guide details every accepted payment method, regional availability, currency support, and how automatic payments work.

Credit and Debit Cards

We accept all major credit and debit cards, processed securely through Stripe:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
Cards are the most common payment method and offer the fastest checkout experience. Your card is charged automatically for recurring invoices when auto-pay is enabled.

How Card Payments Work

  • Add your card under Billing > Payment Methods in your dashboard. See Adding and Managing Payment Methods for step-by-step instructions.
  • Set the card as your default payment method.
  • When an invoice is generated, the card is charged automatically (if auto-pay is enabled).
  • You receive an email confirmation for each successful payment.
  • Card payments are processed immediately and your invoice status updates to Paid within seconds.

    3D Secure Authentication

For enhanced security, some transactions require 3D Secure verification (also known as Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, or Amex SafeKey). When triggered, you will be prompted to complete an additional authentication step through your bank — such as entering a one-time code sent via SMS or approving the transaction in your banking app.

3D Secure helps prevent unauthorized use of your card and is required by regulation in many regions.

    PayPal

PayPal is a popular alternative for customers who prefer not to enter card details directly or who want to pay from their PayPal balance.

    How PayPal Payments Work

  • Navigate to Billing > Payment Methods.
  • Click Add Payment Method and select PayPal.
  • Authorize the connection by logging in to your PayPal account.
  • Once connected, PayPal can be used for both manual and automatic payments.
  • PayPal payments support auto-pay, so you can set PayPal as your default method and have invoices charged automatically.

    PayPal Benefits

    • Pay from your PayPal balance, linked bank account, or linked card.
    • No need to share card details directly.
    • PayPal buyer protection for added peace of mind.
    • Available in 200+ countries and territories.

    Cryptocurrency

Data Mammoth accepts cryptocurrency payments for customers who prefer decentralized payment options.

    Supported Cryptocurrencies

    • Bitcoin (BTC)
    • Ethereum (ETH)
    • Litecoin (LTC)
    • USDT (Tether)
    • USDC
Additional cryptocurrencies may be available depending on your region and current integrations.

    How Crypto Payments Work

  • During checkout or when paying an invoice, select Cryptocurrency as your payment method.
  • Choose your preferred cryptocurrency from the list.
  • A wallet address and payment amount (converted to the selected crypto at the current exchange rate) will be displayed.
  • Send the exact amount from your crypto wallet to the provided address.
  • Payment is confirmed after the transaction receives the required number of blockchain confirmations (typically 1-3 for most coins).
  • Your invoice status updates to Paid once the payment is confirmed.
  • Important Notes About Crypto Payments

    • Exchange rate. The crypto amount is calculated at the current market rate at the time of payment. This rate is locked for a limited period (usually 15-30 minutes) to account for price volatility.
    • Exact amount. You must send the exact amount displayed. Sending too little may result in an incomplete payment.
    • Transaction fees. Blockchain network fees (gas fees, miner fees) are paid by you and are not included in the displayed amount.
    • No auto-pay. Cryptocurrency payments must be made manually for each invoice. Auto-pay is not available for crypto.
    • No refunds to crypto. Refunds for crypto payments are processed as account credit, not returned to your wallet.

    Bank Transfer / Wire Transfer

For larger orders or customers who prefer traditional banking, we accept bank transfers in select regions.

    How Bank Transfers Work

  • Contact our billing team by opening a support ticket to request bank transfer payment.
  • We will provide our bank details and a payment reference number.
  • Initiate the transfer from your bank using the provided details.
  • Include the payment reference number in the transfer description so we can match the payment to your account.
  • Once the funds are received (typically 1-5 business days depending on your bank and region), your invoice is marked as paid.
  • Bank transfers are best suited for annual or multi-year payments due to the processing time involved.

    Account Credit

You can add credit to your Data Mammoth account balance and use it to pay invoices.

    How Account Credit Works

  • Navigate to Billing > Add Credit (or Account Credit).
  • Enter the amount you want to add.
  • Choose a payment method (card, PayPal, or crypto) to fund the credit.
  • The credit is added to your balance immediately after payment.
  • When an invoice is generated, account credit is automatically applied before charging your payment method. If your credit balance covers the full invoice amount, no payment method is charged.

    Benefits of Account Credit

    • Budget control. Add a specific amount and know exactly how much you will spend.
    • Prepay for discounts. Some promotional offers may provide bonus credit when you prepay a certain amount.
    • Simplified accounting. Make one larger payment and have it automatically applied to future invoices.

    Currency Support

Data Mammoth displays prices and processes payments in the following currencies:

    • USD — United States Dollar (default)
    • EUR — Euro
    • GBP — British Pound
Your dashboard displays prices in your selected currency. If you pay with a card denominated in a different currency, your bank may apply a foreign exchange conversion at their rate. Any currency conversion fees are determined by your bank or payment provider, not by Data Mammoth.

You can set your preferred currency in Account Settings.

    Automatic Renewal and Auto-Pay

All Data Mammoth services are set to auto-renew by default. This means:

  • An invoice is generated automatically before your service's billing period ends (typically 7-14 days in advance).
  • Your default payment method is charged for the invoice amount.
  • If payment succeeds, your service continues without interruption.
  • If payment fails, you receive an email notification and have a grace period to pay manually before the service is suspended.
  • Managing Auto-Renewal

You can manage auto-renewal for each service individually:

  • Navigate to Services in your dashboard.
  • Click on the service you want to manage.
  • Look for the Auto-Renew toggle or setting.
  • Toggle it off if you want the service to expire at the end of the current billing period.
  • Disabling auto-renewal does not cancel the service immediately — it simply prevents renewal at the end of the paid period.
