How to Create Your Account

5 min read

Creating your Data Mammoth account is the first step toward reliable, high-performance hosting. The entire registration process takes less than two minutes and gives you immediate access to our full range of cloud infrastructure services, including VPS, GPU servers, storage solutions, and more.

This guide walks you through every step of the registration process, from filling in your details to verifying your email and logging in for the first time.

Before You Begin

To create your account, you will need:

  • A valid email address you have access to (for verification)
  • A strong, unique password
  • Your full name and, optionally, your company details
Data Mammoth accounts are free to create. You are only charged when you order a service.

Step 1 — Visit the Registration Page

Open your browser and navigate to the Data Mammoth website. Click the Sign Up or Get Started button in the top-right corner of the page. This takes you directly to the registration form.

You can also reach the registration page by visiting the login page and clicking the Create an account link below the login form.

Step 2 — Fill In Your Details

On the registration form, provide the following information:

  • First Name — Enter your legal first name. This is used on invoices and support correspondence.
  • Last Name — Enter your legal last name.
  • Email Address — Use an email address you check regularly. All account notifications, invoices, and service alerts are sent to this address. For example: [email protected].
  • Password — Create a strong password that meets the minimum requirements (see password tips below).
  • Confirm Password — Re-enter your password to confirm it.
  • If you are registering on behalf of a business, you may also have the option to enter your company name and VAT number. These can be updated later in your account settings.

Review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then check the agreement checkbox. Click Create Account to submit your registration.

    Tips for a Strong Password

Your password is the first line of defense for your hosting account. Follow these best practices:

    • Use at least 12 characters — longer is better.
    • Combine uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
    • Avoid common words, phrases, or patterns like password123 or qwerty.
    • Do not reuse passwords from other services.
    • Consider using a password manager such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or KeePass to generate and store a unique password.
Data Mammoth enforces a minimum password strength requirement during registration. If your password is too weak, you will see an on-screen prompt with suggestions to improve it.

Step 3 — Verify Your Email Address

After submitting the registration form, Data Mammoth sends a verification email to the address you provided. Open your inbox and look for an email with the subject line "Verify your email address" (or similar).

Click the Verify Email button or link inside the email. This confirms your email address and activates your account.

    Did Not Receive the Email?

If you do not see the verification email within a few minutes:

    • Check your spam or junk folder. Email filters sometimes catch automated messages.
    • Check for typos. If you accidentally entered the wrong email address, you will need to register again with the correct address.
    • Resend the verification email. On the verification pending page, click the Resend button to request a new verification email.
    • Contact support. If you still cannot receive the email after several attempts, open a support ticket or reach out to our team through the contact page.

Logging In for the First Time

Once your email is verified, navigate to the login page and enter your email address and password. Click Sign In to access your dashboard.

On your first login, you will be greeted by the Data Mammoth client dashboard. From here you can:

    • Browse and order hosting services
    • View and manage your active services
    • Access billing and invoice history
    • Open support tickets
    • Configure account security settings
For a detailed walkthrough of the dashboard, see Your First Login — Dashboard Overview.

Secure Your Account with Two-Factor Authentication

We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) immediately after creating your account. 2FA adds a second layer of security by requiring a verification code from an authenticator app — such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator — every time you log in.

    To enable 2FA:

  • Go to Account Settings from the top-right menu.
  • Navigate to the Security section.
  • Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  • Enter the six-digit verification code to confirm setup.
  • Save your backup codes in a secure location. These codes allow you to log in if you lose access to your authenticator app.
  • With 2FA enabled, even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without the second factor.

    What to Do Next

Now that your account is ready, here are the recommended next steps:

    • Explore the dashboard — Get familiar with the navigation and key features. See Your First Login — Dashboard Overview.
    • Choose a hosting plan — Compare VPS, VDS, GPU, and Storage plans to find the right fit. See How to Choose the Right Hosting Plan.
    • Order your first server — Follow our step-by-step ordering guide. See How to Order Your First Server.
    • Add a payment method — Set up your preferred payment method for faster checkout. See Adding and Managing Payment Methods.
