Your First Login — Dashboard Overview

7 min read

After creating your Data Mammoth account and verifying your email, your next step is to log in and explore the client dashboard. The dashboard is your central hub for managing every aspect of your hosting — from ordering and monitoring servers to handling billing and contacting support.

This guide walks you through the login process and gives you a thorough overview of every section of the dashboard so you can hit the ground running.

Logging In

  • Navigate to the Data Mammoth website and click Sign In in the top-right corner.
  • Enter the email address and password you used during account registration.
  • If you have two-factor authentication enabled, enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app when prompted.
  • Click Sign In to access your dashboard.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password? link on the login page. Enter your email address and follow the instructions in the password reset email to create a new password.

    Dashboard Overview

When you first log in, you land on the main dashboard page. This page is designed to give you a quick snapshot of your entire account at a glance. Here is what you will find:

    Services Summary

The top section of the dashboard displays a summary of your active services. Each service card shows:

    • Service name — The product or plan you ordered (e.g., VPS Standard, GPU Pro).
    • Status — Whether the service is active, pending, or suspended.
    • IP address — The primary IP address assigned to your server (e.g., 203.0.113.10).
    • Quick actions — Shortcuts to manage the service, view details, or access the server console.
If you have not ordered any services yet, this section will display a prompt to get started with your first order. See How to Order Your First Server for a step-by-step guide.

    Billing Overview

Below the services summary, the billing overview shows:

    • Account balance — Your current credit balance or outstanding amount.
    • Next invoice date — When your next payment is due.
    • Recent invoices — A list of your most recent invoices with quick links to view or download them.
For detailed billing management, see How to View and Download Invoices.

    Support Quick Access

The dashboard includes a support widget that gives you immediate access to:

    • Open tickets — The number of currently open support tickets and links to view them.
    • New ticket — A quick button to create a new support request.
    • Knowledge Base — A search bar or link to our support articles and tutorials.

    Navigating the Dashboard

The main navigation menu runs along the left side of the screen (or top on mobile devices). It is organized into clear sections:

    Services

The Services section lists all your active, pending, and cancelled services. Click on any service to open its detailed management page, where you can:

    • View server details (IP address, hostname, operating system, resource allocation)
    • Access the web-based console for direct server access
    • Reboot, stop, or start your server
    • Reinstall the operating system
    • Manage snapshots and backups
    • View resource usage graphs (CPU, RAM, disk, network)

    Store

The Store section is where you browse and order new products. Data Mammoth offers several product categories:

    • VPS Hosting — Virtual private servers with dedicated resources. Ideal for websites, apps, and development.
    • VDS Hosting — Virtual dedicated servers with higher performance guarantees.
    • GPU Servers — Servers equipped with powerful GPUs for AI, machine learning, rendering, and compute-intensive tasks.
    • Storage VPS — High-capacity storage servers for backups, media, and archival.
Each category shows available plans with pricing, specifications, and a direct order button.

    Billing

The Billing section provides full access to your financial information:

    • Invoices — View, download, and pay invoices.
    • Payment Methods — Add, update, or remove credit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods.
    • Credit Balance — View and add account credit.
    • Transaction History — See a complete record of all payments and charges.

    Support

    The Support section lets you:

    • View open tickets — See all your active support conversations.
    • Create a new ticket — Submit a new request with details about your issue.
    • Browse the Knowledge Base — Search through hundreds of support articles.

    Account Settings

Access your account settings by clicking your profile icon or name in the top-right corner. From here you can:

    • Update your profile — Change your name, email, phone number, and company details.
    • Change your password — Set a new password for your account.
    • Security settings — Enable or manage two-factor authentication and passkeys.
    • Notification preferences — Choose which email notifications you receive (billing alerts, service notifications, marketing updates).
    • API keys — Generate and manage API keys for programmatic access to your account.

    Key Areas to Explore First

As a new user, we recommend exploring these areas in order:

    1. Complete Your Profile

Navigate to Account Settings and make sure your profile information is complete and accurate. This ensures invoices are correctly addressed and support requests are handled efficiently.

    2. Set Up Security

If you have not already done so during registration, enable two-factor authentication. Go to Account Settings > Security and follow the setup wizard. This is the single most important step to protect your account.

    3. Add a Payment Method

Before placing your first order, add a payment method under Billing > Payment Methods. This speeds up the checkout process and enables automatic renewal for your services. See Adding and Managing Payment Methods for details.

    4. Browse the Store

Visit the Store to explore the available hosting plans. Compare specifications, review pricing, and identify the plan that best fits your needs. If you need help deciding, see How to Choose the Right Hosting Plan.

    5. Order Your First Service

Ready to get started? Follow our How to Order Your First Server guide to place your first order and get your server up and running in minutes.

    Dashboard Tips

    • Bookmark your dashboard. Save the dashboard URL in your browser for quick access.
    • Check service status regularly. The dashboard shows real-time status for all your services. If you notice a service showing as inactive or suspended, check your billing or contact support.
    • Use keyboard shortcuts. The dashboard supports keyboard navigation for power users. Press ? on any page to see available shortcuts.
    • Mobile friendly. The Data Mammoth dashboard is fully responsive. Manage your servers on the go from any device.

    What to Do Next

Now that you are familiar with the dashboard, take the next step:

    • How to Order Your First Server — Get your first VPS up and running.
    • How to Connect to Your Server via SSH — Access your server from the command line.
    • Accepted Payment Methods — See all the ways you can pay.

    Need Help?
